DIGEST INN PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy describes how we handle your personal data when you use the Digest Inn app. We are Digest Inn BV, Johannes Vijghstraat 53, 6524BP Nijmegen; GainPlay Studio B.V. Jaarbeursplein 6, 3521AL Utrecht; and Chardon Group B.V. Berghemseweg 8, 5373KH Herpen. We ensure that the personal information you provide is treated confidentially, in accordance with the law.
This Privacy Policy contains a description of what information we collect when using the app and service and how we use that information to provide you with the service and to improve our app using analytics. We also describe how we share some personal data with third parties to enable our service and to comply with the law. Finally, we tell you how to opt-out of the processing of your data and how you can access your data and how you can correct them.
Changes
This policy describes how we handle your personal data on December 18, 2017. When we make changes to this policy, we will email you if we have your e-mail address. If we do not have your e-mail address, we will post the changed policy at https://www.digestinn.com/privacy policy.
1. Ground for processing: permission and research
We base the processing of your personal data on your explicit consent. You have the right to withdraw the consent at any time, this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing on the basis of the permission before its withdrawal.
Aggregated and pseudonymised data are used for research by the Nutrition and Dietetics program at the Hogeschool van Arnhem and Nijmegen.
2. Collection of personal data

All information you provide us and / or information that you choose to share with us about yourself as part of your use of a Digest Inn game and / or product, can be stored as you have provided this information to us.
This includes:

Information we obtain through your use of the app or service
Digest Inn connects to your Google Play account and requires the installation of the Google Fit application for the correct use of Digest Inn. Google Fit is needed to keep track of your exercise behavior in a correct way, based on which you collect points in the Digest Inn game. The connection to your Google Play account is necessary in order to correctly read and use the information from Google Fit in the products and / or games of Digest Inn. The amount of movement (steps you take) is the only form of data that is collected. It does not track where you are at what time.
In addition to any information that you explicitly share with us, the app or service may automatically collect certain information, such as
- the type of mobile device you are using.
- the unique device ID or advertising ID of your device.
- the IP address of your mobile device.
- the version of your mobile operating system.
- information about how you use the app or service.
We use this information for statistics and for trouble-shooting of technical errors. In general, we only use this information at an aggregate level.
Aggregated, anonymous information:
We use aggregated and anonymous data for the Nutrition and Dietetics program at the Hogeschool of Arnhem and Nijmegen to help shape research and education. This only works if you choose a username that is not your real name, or from which your real name can easily be derived, and also does not give us any information that can link your real name or other identifying information to your username.
3. Use of personal data
We use your username, email address, and password to identify you as a unique user of a Digest Inn product and / or game, in order to provide you with the right service and answers to your questions and to make your transactions correct and to be able to act quickly.
We use your contact information to use newsletters and / or email campaigns to keep you informed of updates, security notifications or administrative notices that are relevant to your use of our Digest Inn products and / or games. Your contact details enable us to inform you of new possibilities in our product and / or game, bug fixes, and the correct handling of your questions and complaints.
We also use the aggregated and anonymous data we collect to calculate statistics about our users and / or players with the aim of further improving our products and / or services, or for taking appropriate security measures.
Furthermore, we may share your information in the event that our apps and / or games are sold separately or sold in their entirety or taken over by a new party. In this type of transaction, customer information usually belongs to the content to be sold. We will also have to release information if this arises from non-compliance with the conditions of use, when this is required by law, or when it is necessary to protect our rights or property or those of our customers and users.
4. Children

Digest Inn does not store your personal data longer than is necessary for the provision of our services to you. If you delete the app, your usage data will be kept for up to 3 months in case you reinstall the app. This way you do not have to build up a profile again. After this time they are removed. We keep account data longer (up to 5 years). This is to be able to comply with our legal administrative obligations.
At Digest Inn we take all reasonable steps to ask us to protect your information against loss, theft, misuse or unauthorized access, dissemination, adaptation or destruction. We restrict access to this information to authorized employees and suppliers who need this information to have the app or service work, develop or improve.

6. Your rights
You have the right to inspect, improve, supplement, modify, protect or even delete your personal data from our database. 7. Opt-out for mail
When you create a user account or give us your e-mail address via one of our apps or games, you may be automatically included in our database for sending a or multiple promotional newsletters. Please note that when you leave us an e-mail address, we consider this as a request to register you for our promotional newsletter. If you remember, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email. If you then follow the instructions on your screen, you will be unsubscribed from the newsletter.
